O Mio Babbino Caro

FIRST Music Saturday here at the blog with no name =). I’ll start with one of my favorites arias of all time; O Mio Babbino Caro, from Gianni Schicchi, by Giacomo Puccini.

It describes Lauretta’s deep love of her boyfriend Rinuccio and the extreme measures she’s willing to take if she doesn’t get her father’s permission to marry him.

It has enchanted ears and moved to tears since its premiere in 1918 at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York.

Escribidora discovered it from one of the Peanuts‘ specials =P.

Interpretada por Sissel Kyrkjebø (mi favorita =P)

Enjoy! =)

Lecciones del día / Lessons of the day

Me desvelé, desperté tarde…

2. Responsabilízate por ti misma.

Fin. U_U

THERE’S something new to be learned everyday. But if you don’t learn something immediately, the situations caused by your indifference to the concept/behaviour/etc. you know you should learn and put on practice, they haunt you. It’s like… Stumbling over the same rock, at the same place… Over and over again and again…

Today, I stumbled upon the same rock. I don’t know how many times I’ve done it before. But I think they’re enough for me to learn the lesson.

I didn’t follow the rule. I stayed up really late. I woke up really late. I had trusted that my dad was going to drive me to work. But he didn’t. He went to buy some material ( he’s a carpenter ) and the car failed on his way back home. So he couldn’t drive me to work. I had to leave the house without having breakfast, in a hurry to get to my mom’s house and feed my kittens. ‘Cause if I’m not there, nobody else feeds them. Of course. They’re MINE.
I was in such a rush when I stepped off the bus, that I forgot to ask the driver for my change. 44.50 pesos for free.
So, let’s see… What is it that I can learn from today’s bad experiences? 1. Go to bed the same day you woke up. 2. Take responsibility for yourself.

The End U_U.

I’ll stop numbering my entries

Yup. This is only useful if I want to make it more evident that I don’t update this thing very often.

I adopted the goal “blog every day” , so, here you have me.

Woo… I can’t believe that an idea of what to post about actually just came to me. Duh!

I have a new job! =D. Now, I work at a cyber cafe =D. And right now, the place is pretty lonely. Ok, not “pretty lonely”. It’s empty. So I have time for a post.

I’ve been working here for two, almost three days =P. And it’s great, because, as you might already know, I LOOOOVE Internet, and now I can make money out of sitting in front of the computer clicking and clicking and clicking the del.icio.us randomizer, leaving comments for my myspace friends, updating my 43things list, blogging, reading really interesting stuff ( like this *cat*), chatting with friends and family, playing online games, and a really BIG ETCETERA.

Who said work has to be boring? =D
